Actor & Producer, Garage Art Production
Ahmed Magdy is an Egyptian actor, filmmaker, and producer known for his artistic range and independent cinema work. His first feature film No One There premiered internationally in 2019 and received critical recognition. He also serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the European Union Water Initiative in Egypt, reflecting his commitment to social and environmental issues.
Through his company Garage Art Production, Ahmed supports emerging filmmakers and develops socially engaged cinema. Garage has sponsored festivals and artistic initiatives and is a founding partner of the Fayoum Environmental Film Festival. His work blends independent sensibility with a commitment to storytelling that addresses real world themes.
At BRIDGE Summit, Ahmed will share perspectives on independent filmmaking, artistic development, and how cinema can drive cultural awareness and social dialogue.

In this session, Egyptian actor and filmmaker Ahmed Magdy examines why stepping into the producer’s role is becoming essential for creators who want greater agency, artistic integrity, and long-term impact. Drawing on his trajectory from Egypt’s independent cinema movement to building Garage Art Production, Magdy explores how actors can catalyze new talent, strengthen local creative ecosystems, and drive a more intentional, sustainable future for storytelling.
