Kristin Wood
CEO, August Interactive
Kristin Wood is the CEO and Co-Founder of August Interactive, a deep tech studio working at the intersection of national security and entertainment to enhance human performance at scale. She is a former senior CIA Executive with 20 years of experience leading intelligence analysis, operations, and open source innovation across five wars, and she previously served as a Presidential Daily Brief briefer. Her work has made her a recognized expert on information dynamics, influence operations, and strategic risk assessment.
Before founding August Interactive, Kristin held senior roles across the U.S. defense technology sector, from Fortune 500 companies to venture backed startups where she served as Founding CEO. She has published extensively on how changing information environments affect national security, statecraft, media, and society. She is also a recent fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and serves as an emeritus advisor to the International Spy Museum.
