Namit Malhotra is the Chairman and CEO of DNEG, a global leader in visual entertainment and home to seven Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects. A third generation filmmaker and entrepreneur, he built Prime Focus from a small Mumbai startup into one of the largest media services companies in India. His expansion into the United Kingdom and North America included acquiring Double Negative and transforming it into DNEG, which now has more than 9,000 employees across visual effects, animation, gaming, and virtual production.
Namit has produced major films including Brahmastra, The Garfield Movie, the upcoming Ramayana, and Animal Friends for Legendary Entertainment. His leadership blends technology, storytelling, and international collaboration, supported by significant investment that has accelerated DNEG’s move into new creative and technological territories. His work continues to shape the future of global visual storytelling.
