Diego Escosteguy is an award-winning journalist and media entrepreneur, and the Founder and CEO of O Bastidor, an independent newsroom uncovering the inner workings of Brazilian politics, justice, and the economy. A former Editor-in-Chief of Época and Executive Editor at Infoglobo (Grupo Globo), Diego has led investigations that shaped national debate and advanced accountability in public life.
His reporting on the Waldomiro Diniz scandal earned the Embratel Press Award and special recognition from the Transparency International/IPYS Prize for investigative journalism in Latin America. A multi-time recipient of the Prêmio Abril and Editora Globo awards, he was also a Timerman Scholar at Columbia Journalism School.
