Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications (UAE)

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama is the UAE’s first Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, appointed in 2017 as the first minister in the world dedicated to this field. He has since been recognized by TIME as one of the 100 most influential people in AI. Today, he also serves as Minister of State for the Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, as well as Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office and Director General of the Dubai Crown Prince’s Office.

He is Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, leading national strategies across innovation, skills development, and digital transformation. He also serves on the UN Secretary General’s High Level Advisory Body on AI and the World Economic Forum’s AI Governance Alliance steering committee, helping to shape global AI frameworks.

At BRIDGE Summit, His Excellency will discuss the UAE’s long term AI and digital strategy, responsible technology leadership, and how countries can build talent ecosystems and regulatory environments ready for the future.
