Mina Al-Oraibi
Mina Al-Oraibi is the Editor in Chief of The National, a leading English-language regional news outlet based in Abu Dhabi. With over 20 years of experience covering Middle Eastern, European, and American affairs, she has interviewed key global figures including Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, ECB President Christine Lagarde, and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Before joining The National, Mina was a Senior Fellow at the Institute for State Effectiveness and a Yale World Fellow, where she worked on governance and policy recommendations focused on Iraq and Syria. She previously served as Assistant Editor-in-Chief and Washington Bureau Chief of Asharq Al-Awsat. Mina is a columnist for Foreign Policy and a member of the International Media Council and the Board of Trustees of the American University in Iraq – Sulaimani. She has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
